Tournament OVERVIEW

Participation in the #NOBLOCK Beach Volley Festival is open to teams of athletes of all skill levels.

 

Teams compete in the following categories: 2 vs. 2 Men, 2 vs. 2 Women and 2 vs. 2 Mixed.

 

Athletes may only play for one team within the same game category. 

Tournament FORMAT

The tournament is structured in multiple phases:

​

1. Qualifying Phase

    •    Each team competes in a round-robin pool format to qualify.

    •    Matches are played in a single set to 21 points, with no cap.

    •    Teams are ranked within their pools based on performance.

2. Division into Levels

    •    After the qualifying phase, teams are divided into two levels:

    •    GOLD Level: For higher-ranked teams.

    •    SILVER Level: For lower-ranked teams.

    •    Teams in each level play another round-robin pool to refine rankings.

3. Elimination Phase

    •    Top teams from the GOLD and SILVER levels advance to a single-elimination bracket.

    •    The number of teams advancing depends on the total number of participants.

    •    Matches in this phase determine the winners in each category.

    •    The finals are played in 2 winning sets to 21 points, with no cap, and a deciding set to 15 points, if needed.

4. Match Schedule

The matches are spread over three days, providing ample competition and social activities:

    •    Friday:  Men’s and Women’s categories (qualifiers and round robin).

    •    Saturday:  Mixed category (qualifiers and round robin) and single elimination for Men and Women.

    •    Sunday:  Semi-Finals, Finals and award ceremonies.

 

For more details on the schedule, refer to the #NOBLOCK Program, which will be issues at least 30 day before the start of the event.

BYLAWS

The tournament adheres to official FIVB beach volleyball rules, with the following adaptations:

    •    Self-Refereed Games: Except for the finals, all matches are self-refereed.

    •    In case of a dispute, the point shall be replayed.

    •    Equipment and Setup: The courts and equipment will meet official standards.

    •    Sportsmanship: All participants are expected to uphold the values of fair play and mutual respect.

Additional rules:

    •    Teams must adhere to the schedule to ensure smooth tournament progression.
    •    If a team fails to show up within 15 minutes after the official start time of the game, the match will be automatically awarded to the opposing team that is present

    •    Substitutions within a team are not allowed after the start of the tournament.

OTHER INFORMATION

    •    Legal Age: Participants must be at least 18 years old to register. Athletes under 18 must provide written parental or guardian authorization.

    •    Medical Certificate: All participants must present a valid medical certificate confirming their fitness to engage in sports activities. This certificate must be submitted during the check-in process.

 

    •    Liability Waiver::by registering, participants acknowledge and accept that Beach Volley Europe VZW and Fantini Club are not liable for:

             •    Personal injuries or accidents during the tournament.

             •    Loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings.

             •    Delays, cancellations, or disruptions caused by unforeseen circumstances, including but not limited                       to weather conditions or force majeure events.

​

Registration and Deadlines

    •    Registrations will close 15 days prior to the event. Late registrations will not be accepted under any circumstances.

    •    Teams must ensure all required documents (e.g., medical certificate, parental authorization if applicable) are submitted before the deadline.

​

Refund Policy

    •    Cancellations made more than 30 days before the event will receive a 50% refund of the registration fee.

    •    No refunds will be issued for cancellations made within 30 days of the event or for teams that fail to show up.
